What is Centurion?
Centurion is a mass deployment tool for Docker fleets that automates the process of taking containers from a Docker registry and running them on a fleet of hosts with the correct environment variables, host volume mappings, and port mappings. It supports rolling deployments out of the box, making it easy to ship applications to Docker servers, and works in a two-part deployment process where the build process ships a container to the registry, and Centurion ships containers from the registry to the Docker fleet. Centurion is a Ruby gem that requires a modern Ruby environment and offers features like scaffolding tools for configuration, support for custom health checks, and the ability to use SSH for Docker server connections.
